indian head massage

indian head massage training course cpd

Indian Head Massage (also called 'champissage') involves specific massage moves to the head, neck, shoulders, arms and face.  It is an incredibly relaxing therapy based on ancient Ayurvedic healing philosophy which has been practised in India for over a thousand years.  Ghandi himself had a daily massage, believing it boosted his energy levels whilst also keeping him in touch with his spiritual mind.

The versatility of IHM means that it can be performed on a client who is either lying on a couch or seated in a chair, with or without the use of oils and also through a minimum amount of clothing if necessary.  This course will not only cover the practical aspect of actually giving an IHM but will also examine the various conditions that respond well to this therapy.  The various therapeutic properties of a selection of oils will also be considered in order maximise the benefits of each treatment.

If you already have a qualification in Anatomy and Physiology (Level 3, or above) and wish to develop your skills more specifically, this one-day IHM CPD course is an excellent direction to take.  An ancient proverb states that, "A happy mind is medicine; no better prescription exists".  Learning Indian Head Massage takes an individual one step closer to a happy mind!
